[The Ojuk-Root Belt Bag] is
a renewed edition of our original Ojuk-Bokdam Belt Bag,
highlighting the decorative beauty of ojuk (black bamboo) roots
is while expanding the bag’s practicality.
It reflects the graceful aging of vegetable-tanned leather
and the unique, sculptural elegance of ojuk root details.

With enhanced storage capacity,
a more convenient magnetic closure,
and a refined, sleeker belt,
this bag has been reimagined into
a more sophisticated and functional form.

Gongyeedam [Ojuk Collection] collaborates with
Master Artisan Choe Seon-Hui, a certified Ojukjang craftsperson
recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage bearer by the City of Seoul.

Master Choe apprenticed
under the late Master Yoon Byung-hoon,
a renowned Ojukjang artisan
and Seoul Intangible Cultural Heritage holder,
beginning in 1986. For over 30 years,
she has carried on the tradition of jukjang (bamboo craft) techniques,
preserving and refining the artistry of ojuk (black bamboo).
In 2008, she received the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award
at the 33rd Korean Traditional Craft Competition
for her exceptional jukjang work.
In 2009, she was officially designated as Korea’s Ojuk Craft Master (2009-2).
Today, she continues to balance heritage and modern interpretation in her craft.
The Ojuk-rood Belt Bag is
meticulously handcrafted in the atelier
and produced in small batches.
